Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Every tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are read into memory, processed locally, and discarded when you leave the page.
Why do some tools say “backend soon”?
A few features — password protection, unlocking, Office conversion and reliable image extraction — depend on native binaries (qpdf, LibreOffice, Poppler). Those ship with the server/worker phase.
Is there a file size limit?
Because processing happens on your device, limits depend on your available memory. Very large PDFs (hundreds of MB) may be slow in the browser.
Does OCR work offline?
The Tesseract engine and language data download on first use, then run locally. After that first load, recognition happens on your device.
